Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how WorkLyn (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use worklyn.tech and the WorkLyn service (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.

1. Information we collect

  • Account information — your name, email address, password (stored hashed), and organization details you provide at sign-up.
  • Google Play data — when you connect a Google account, we access app and review data through the Google Play Developer API, including review text, ratings, reviewer display names, languages, devices, and reply history, solely to provide the Service.
  • Content you create — replies, templates, assignments, notes, and settings within the Service.
  • Usage data — logs and basic analytics about how you interact with the Service, used for security and reliability.
  • Payment information — handled by our payment processor, Paddle. We do not collect or store your full card details; we receive limited billing and subscription status information from Paddle.

2. How we use your information

  • To provide, operate, and maintain the Service (syncing, analyzing, and replying to reviews);
  • To generate AI analysis, reply drafts, reports, and alerts you request;
  • To manage your account, subscription, and support requests;
  • To secure the Service, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations;
  • To communicate important updates about the Service.

3. AI processing

To analyze reviews and generate reply drafts, review text and related metadata are sent to our AI provider, Anthropic (Claude), for processing. This data is used only to return results to you and is not used by us to train models. We access only the data necessary to perform the requested task.

4. Google API Services — Limited Use disclosure

WorkLyn’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use Google Play data only to provide and improve user-facing features of the Service, do not sell it, and do not use it for advertising. Human access to this data occurs only where required for security, support, or with your consent.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers (subprocessors) who help us operate the Service, under agreements that require them to protect it:

  • Supabase — database, authentication, and storage;
  • Anthropic — AI analysis and reply generation;
  • Paddle — payment processing and subscription billing (Merchant of Record);
  • Resend — transactional email (invites, alerts, reports);
  • Vercel — application hosting.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of WorkLyn, our users, or the public.

6. Data retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You can delete reviews, disconnect Google, or delete your account at any time; we delete or anonymize associated data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required for legal, security, or accounting purposes.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, encryption of Google OAuth tokens at rest, database row-level security to isolate each organization’s data, and least-privilege access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

8. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing (for example under the GDPR or CCPA). To exercise these rights, contact us at support@worklyn.tech. You may also revoke WorkLyn’s access to your Google account at any time via your Google Account permissions.

9. International transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

10. Children

The Service is not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will indicate changes by updating the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, provide notice within the Service.
